At Candetti we take our OHS&W very seriously. Our OHS&W polices and procedures are fully documented within the Candetti Management System (CMS) and certified to AS/NZS 4801:2000.
Safety induction is of utmost importance and is undertaken by our qualified personnel who themselves have been inducted into the specific project OHS&W plans. The site personnel, with support from Senior Management are responsible for the implementation of policies through the inducted subcontractors. Organised sites are safe sites and we strive to keep all sites as tidy as possible.
Candetti Constructions are genuinely committed to ensuring, so far as reasonably practicable, that all employees are safe from injury and risks to health whilst at work. We intend to meet these commitments by ensuring safe and health conditions on all projects by providing:
- Safe workplace procedures.
- Adequate training and instruction.
- Supervisory staff with specific safety responsibilities.
Industrial Relations
Industrial relations require anticipation rather than reaction. We maintain open communication with the unions, respect their input and believe that by maintaining clean, safe sites with quality amenities, the opportunity for disruption is minimised. Site staff are trained in dealing in an appropriate manner with Union Delegates, and are skilled in managing situations to mitigate possible disruption.
